  • LISTEN: Ice Spice Drops New Single "Pretty Girl" With Rema

"Pretty Girl," a dazzling, poppy love song that straddles the lane of Ice Spice's "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" with PinkPantheress and Rema's breakthrough smash "Dumebi," is the product of this exciting new collaboration. Before bursting into fluttering polyrhythmic percussion, it is straightforward and full of beautiful synths. Ice Spice raps in one of her verses, "Haters super mad, we got them all livid/Thinking about my future, got you all in it/Shooting for the stars, the sky has no limit." Rema sings "Yeah, pretty girl, me no do kiss and tell," which serves as the song's hook. Riot, a frequent partner of Ice Spice, is acknowledged as the song's producer. The MTV Video Music Awards named Ice Spice 'Best New Artist' in September. She also just took home the 'Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist Award' at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards and launched a joint beverage with Dunkin' Donuts. This Saturday (Oct. 14) she will be a performer at Saturday Night Live's first live taping after the writers' strike ended, marking her debut as a musical guest.

Following its successful ads with Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry, food delivery service JustEatTakeAway has released a new ad starring Christina Aguilera and rapper Latto. The one-minute clip shows the two artists inside an elaborate mansion while dripped in custom ball gowns. Latto raps on Just Eat's goods, from groceries to gyoza, as Aquilera performs some impressive opera notes. “As our business evolves to offer more choice and convenience from your favorite local takeaway to dine-in dishes and everyday essentials, it’s only right that we evolve our successful creative formula,” Just Eat’s vice president of global brand, Susan O’Brien, said in a statement. “The electrifying mix of Christina Aguilera and Latto is not only unexpected, but it reinforces the message that you’ll be amazed at the selection and quality available on Just Eat.” The work from agency McCann London was directed by Dave Meyers, who has worked on music videos for Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift. “We wanted to bring the element of surprise to this creative, and thanks to our ever-courageous clients and the amazing efforts of all involved, this campaign hits unexpected notes at every turn,” McCann London creative directors Rob Webster and Alexei Berwitz said in a statement. “There’s no way hip-hop and opera should work, but much to our delight and relief, it really, really does.” Starting on Friday in the UK and Ireland, the campaign will run across TV, out-of-home, cinema, social media, and radio. In the upcoming months, it will expand to markets throughout Europe, Canada, and Australia. “I had so much fun combining different music styles alongside my girl Latto for Just Eat Takeaway,” Aguilera said in a statement. “With non-stop laughter and love, we had the best time bringing this project to life.” “When I heard about the opportunity to work with Just Eat I was actually abroad on tour using the app!,” says Latto. “It was a no-brainer for me especially with the iconic Christina Aguilera involved.
